Mechanical Intern

Job Purpose

Essential Duties:

• Design with support from experience designers set up instructions and work orders for execution by the laboratory operators,

• Design new tooling for use in the Test Lab.

• Complete tests for fixturing validation.

• The intern will work full time during the fall months with the option of working part time during the fall and spring semesters.

Knowledge & Skills

Summary:

• Proficiency with Siemens NX 3-D modeling software required. If the candidate does not have NX experience proficiency in another program such as CATIA, ProE/Creo, Solidworks, or Solid Edge will be considered,

• Hands on mechanical aptitude required,

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office required,

• Experience with hydraulic equipment preferred,

• Experience working with data acquisitions systems and PLC’s preferred,

Education and Experience:

We are looking for students in 3rd or 4th year in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
