We are currently seeking a reliable, autonomous, and detail-oriented individual to fill the role of Accounts Receivable Clerk !
As a member of the Credit and Accounts Receivable team, the Accounts Receivable Clerk is organized, meticulous, resourceful, rigorous, motivated, and detail focused. Reporting to the Credit Department Supervisor, the ideal candidate will be able to process customer payments accurately and efficiently while providing essential support to Credit Analysts.
What will your main responsibilities be as an Accounts Receivable Clerk?
Manage all activities related to the application of customer payments (data entry, daily deposits, maintaining and updating deposit logs, and filing payment advices).
Perform necessary adjustments to customer accounts, including reversals and other corrections.
Collaborate with Accounts Payable, Logistics, and other departments to reconcile various types of payments such as commissions, vendor payments, carrier claims, etc.
Perform daily bank deposit reconciliations and prepare monthly verification reports.
Complete various accounting reconciliations.
Actively participate in the year-end audit process.
Support the Credit Department as needed.
Perform any other related duties associated with the position.
What are the requirements to be successful in this role?
Diploma of Vocational Studies (DEP) or College Diploma (DEC) in Accounting.
Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a similar role within a credit, accounts receivable, and/or finance and accounting team.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Knowledge of JD Edwards (an asset).
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Strong attention to detail, with a high level of accuracy, rigor, and integrity.
Ability to work independently while effectively managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
High adaptability, process-oriented mindset, and strong analytical skills.
Bilingualism in French and English, both spoken and written.
Working Conditions
On-site position, 5 days per week (37.5 hours).
No travel required, except for occasional trips to the bank branch located less than 3 km from the office to deposit certain cheques.
