SummaryVerifies receipt of service vehicles brought to the dealership and parks vehicles in the service lot in an orderly manner.
Essential Duties- Maintains service drive and keeps it in an orderly fashion.
- Cleans the entire service department as needed and or requested by Management.
- Periodically checks bathrooms for any cleaning needs.
- Assists technicians with any spills that may occur.
- Attends to customer needs and answers questions.
- Is prepared to drive the shuttle van when requested and is always polite and courteous to customers.
- Works well with all other employees, respecting each other.
- Records descriptions of damages and reports them to the advisor in charge.
- Parks service vehicles in assigned areas.
- Catalogs and stores keys.
- Services vehicles in storage to protect tires, batteries, and finishes against deterioration.
- Immediately reports to management any situation or condition that jeopardizes the safety, welfare, or integrity of the dealership, its employees, or customers.
- Complies with all company policies as required, such as Meal and Rest Period policy, timekeeping, and safeguarding of customer information. Refer to the Employee Handbook for further detail.
- Completes all required HR training modules in KPA.
- Completes all required certification courses specific to the position.
- Maintains a valid driver’s license and immediately informs management of any changes in its status.
- Maintains a professional appearance: a high level of personal grooming, hygiene, and uniform appearance (see Employee Handbook for more detail).
- Additional duties may be assigned.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide by ten’s and hundred’s, using units of American money and weight, volume, and distance.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Insurable driving record.
