Part-Time Assistant Manager - Level 1

We’re looking for music and pop culture fanatics to help create the best experience for our customers. As a Hot Topic Part-Time Assistant Manager – Level 1, you’ll be a key part of our success by supporting the store leadership team in providing an excellent customer experience, helping fans find the merchandise they love. You’ll use your fandom knowledge to train new recruits, support daily operations, and meet sales targets.

• Provide an engaging shopping experience that encourages customers to return, showcasing your product knowledge and customer service skills.
• Step in and support when needed, covering sales floor duties and assisting the management team.
• Open and close the store as required, ensuring smooth operations.
• Operate the register, process transactions, and promote add-on sales using benefits like BOPIS and curbside pickup. Communicate shortages or overages to your Store Manager.
• Understand sales plans, goals, and KPIs such as UPT and ADT.
• Assist with planogram updates, store layout, and merchandising.
• Share fashion and music trend insights with management and HQ partners.
• Work with Store Management to prevent theft and ensure security.
• Maintain organized stock rooms and keep the store tidy.
• Support the development of a passionate, collaborative team.
• Perform any other activities assigned by your Store Leader.

• At least 1 year of retail experience, preferably with a love for music and pop culture.
• Strong communication, time management, professionalism, and leadership skills.
• A high school diploma or GED.
• Ability to navigate the store, merchandise products, and lift up to 50 pounds.

Pay range: $17 - $19.55 an hour. Final salary will depend on education, location, experience, and other factors.
