Job SummaryDoublz is currently seeking a Prep Cook to join our team. We look for team members who are hardworking, personable, and thoughtful in hospitality, who enjoy actively serving both the team and guests. We maintain a high standard for our product and service and expect the team to continually raise the bar and take pride in the DOUBLZ brand.
The Prep Cook position is focused on consistently creating an exceptional product with a high standard of quality in day-to-day responsibilities including preparation of recipes and menu items, sanitation, and safety compliance. The Prep Cook should be able to prepare recipes quickly, accurately, and consistently and possess strong time-management skills. The role promotes teamwork by cooperating with management and collaborating with other team members.

Salary / Grade Level: Hourly / Non-Exempt
Responsibilities- Perform routine kitchen tasks
- Follow the prep list created to plan duties
- Ensure all ingredients have arrived for the day and alert Kitchen Manager of shortages
- Label and stock all ingredients on shelves so they are organized and easily accessible
- Measure ingredients and seasonings to be used in cooking
- Prepare cooking ingredients by washing and chopping vegetables and cutting and slicing meat
- Set up workstations and ingredients so that food can be prepared according to recipes
- Undertake basic cooking duties including but not limited to preparing sauces, stocks and jams
- Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and taking out trash, recycling and compost
- Ensure that all food and other items are stored properly
- Wash pots, pans, dishes, trays and cooking and eating utensils
- Organize and restock cookware and dishware
- Clean and sanitize dish station equipment and floors
- Food Handlers Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
- Willing to work a flexible schedule and weekends
- Ability to multitask efficiently
- Familiar with kitchen equipment and appliances
- Ability to follow recipes accurately
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds
- Ability to work standing for 8+ hours
