Manual Machine Operatorsfor2nd shift Metal Machine Shop. We’re looking for professionals with2–5 years of hands-on manual machining experience who take pride in precision and quality workmanship.

This role is ideal for a machinist who is confident working with manual grinding and milling equipment, understands tight tolerances, and can independently manage setups and production in a fast-paced shop environment.

• Set up and operate manual surface grinders, Blanchard grinders, and/or milling machines
• Select appropriate tooling, grinding wheels, feeds, and speeds for each job
• Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and job specifications
• Machine metal components to exact dimensions, flatness, and finish requirements
• Verify accuracy using precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and height gauges
• Make real-time adjustments to maintain tolerances and surface quality
• Record job completion and inspection results accurately
• Perform basic machine upkeep and maintain an organized work area
• Follow safety protocols and proper handling of tools and materials
• Work independently while meeting productivity and quality standards

• High school diploma or GED required (trade school or apprenticeship a plus)
• 2–5 years of experience operating manual grinding and/or milling machines
• Strong understanding of machining fundamentals, feeds and speeds, and wheel selection
• Ability to read and work from blueprints and technical drawings
• Proficiency with precision measurement instruments
• Experience machining materials such as steel, tool steel, and aluminum
• Ability to consistently hold tolerances of ±0.001” or tighter
• Detail-oriented mindset with a strong focus on craftsmanship and quality
