Data Applications Specialist

Data Applications Specialist role focused on supporting, maintaining, and enhancing secure data transfer processes across the organization. This position centers on ensuring seamless and secure SFTP file transfers, related workflows, and integrations. The specialist provides hands-on support to internal teams and external clients, guiding them through automation, configuration, and troubleshooting while upholding high standards of performance and reliability.

• Provide technical and operational support for SFTP and data transfer services, including workflow design, deployment, and configuration.
• Respond to user requests in-person, via phone, or electronically, offering professional and timely support.
• Diagnose and resolve complex system software and workflow issues for both internal users and external clients.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage and resolve support tickets and technical issues related to data transfer systems.
• Deliver user training and guidance on implementing and troubleshooting file transfer automation using system tools and applications.
• Perform daily diagnostics and proactive system monitoring to maintain uptime and availability.
• Develop, maintain, and standardize system documentation including integration designs, policies, procedures, and technical specifications.
• Coordinate with IT infrastructure teams on system updates and changes, adhering to change management protocols.
• Lead and support project-based initiatives, including system integrations, upgrades, and incident resolution.
• Promote workflow and system enhancements through thorough analysis, testing, and documentation.
• Ensure validation and quality assurance for new builds and workflow implementations.

• Proven experience supporting SFTP systems and file transfer automation tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in a technical environment.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate complex information clearly.
• Experience managing technical support tickets and coordinating across multiple teams.
• Familiarity with scripting, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and automation tools preferred.
• Strong documentation and technical writing skills.
