Psychiatric Advanced Practice Nurse

Overview

Psychiatric Advanced Practice Nurse (APN/APRN/PMHNP). Total Wellness Center - Montclair, NJ is an in-person and telehealth outpatient behavioral health practice seeking a Psychiatric Advanced Practice Nurse (APN, APRN, PMHNP) to work with an adult-based, stable population.

Some of the services include:

• Providing psychiatric evaluation of each referred person and, in accordance with the law, prescribing psychiatric medications under the supervision of the CIS psychiatrist.
• Prescribing medication using best practices.

• Masters degree in nursing.
• Current APN license in the State of New Jersey with a license number to practice in New Jersey. Current Nurse Practitioner Certification, Current NRN license in the State of NJ. The NP must have a DEA number from the USDEA to prescribe Schedule II-V controlled substances.
• Board Certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) in one of the following areas: (1) Clinical Specialist in Adult Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing, or (2) Clinical Specialist in Child and Adolescent Psychiatric & Mental Health Nursing, or (3) Family Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, or (4) Adult Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse Practitioner; or (5) Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse Certification.

• Operate a personal computer and navigate in order to access e-mail, electronic calendars and other basic office support.
• Provide advanced treatment to patients with psychiatric disorders, substance abuse problems and medical-mental conditions.
• To assess patients' needs, diagnose patients with mental illnesses, prescribe and administer medications, develop patient treatment plans, and file medical reports.

Total Wellness Center offers both in-person and online therapy and psychiatry services. All of our doctors come from Ivy league schools. Our offices are located in Montclair (NJ), Teaneck (NJ) and Stamford (CT).
