* * Montclair State University, Department of Biology, offers an exciting opportunity for a full-time non-tenure track Assistant Teaching Professor of Biology starting August 2026. The Department of Biology offers a dynamic and inclusive academic environment dedicated to fostering innovation, creativity, and excellence in undergraduate education.

We seek a dedicated educator who will demonstrate a strong commitment to undergraduate education and excellence in teaching at the University level. The successful candidate will bring experience teaching, managing, and coordinating multi-section foundational and intermediate-level courses and labs in biological statistics and research methodology, R, and Python, while also supporting curriculum development that integrates modern tools such as AI and VR.

This position requires teaching courses across multiple modalities to meet the diverse needs of our students. While primarily a position in teaching, the successful candidate will also take a leadership role in coordinating and standardizing multi-section courses and labs to maintain consistency and quality across the curriculum. The faculty member will provide essential support to students conducting research, analyzing data, and preparing for advanced study or STEM careers where data literacy is essential.

In addition, the successful candidate will actively engage in professional development, curriculum innovation, interdisciplinary program development, and mentor students.
