Registered Nurse (RN) – Night Shift, Full Time

The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The RN provides direct patient care within scope of practice, directs and guides patient/family teaching, oversees nursing personnel activities, and maintains professional nursing standards in telemetry. During the Emergency Department, the RN is directly responsible and accountable for patient care, communicates with physicians regarding changes in clinical condition and diagnostic results, responds accurately and quickly to changes or treatment responses, and adheres to EMTALA regulations and child/adult abuse reporting.
The RN upholds patient privacy and confidentiality.
- Current and valid state RN license.
- Current BLS certificate upon hire and ongoing maintenance.
- Current ACLS certificate within 30 days of hire and ongoing maintenance.
- Current PALS certificate and/or ENPC within 30 days of hire and ongoing maintenance.
- Basic Arrhythmia interpretation within 30 days of hire.
- Minimum of one year experience as a staff RN in an acute care hospital setting; ER experience preferred.
- Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) preferred.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- In Paramedic Base Station ED: MICN within 12 months of hire and ongoing maintenance.
- EDAP‑certified facilities:
Completion of emergency pediatric courses 1 and 2 within 6 months of hire. - Non‑OB facilities: NRP certificate within 90 days of hire and ongoing maintenance.
- Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNNC) within 12 months of hire required.
Montclair Hospital Medical Center offers competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package. A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, including wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $41.57 to $57.07 per hour. The exact starting compensation will be determined upon selection, considering skills, experience, education, credentials, and licensure.
