Base Pay Range$17.00/hr – $23.00/hr (plus NOC shift differential)
Position DetailsFull‑time regular, NOC Shift: 10:00 p.m. – 8:00 a.m. (10‑hour shifts). In‑person location:
Montclair, CA.
Benchmark Transitions at Montclair is launching a large detox/residential substance abuse disorder facility. We are a professional, agile, and rewarding company seeking experienced employees to support our clients’ recovery journey.
ResponsibilitiesUnder the supervision of the Program Director, you will:
- Supervise and monitor clients to maintain a physically and emotionally safe environment.
- Assist new clients in acclimating to the program and support their progress toward treatment goals.
- Take attendance, support life‑skills and educational groups, and participate in field trips or excursions.
- Lead therapeutic groups, workshops, client move‑in/out events, and food preparation.
- Monitor residence housekeeping needs and other program activities as requested.
- Provide transportation for clients when directed.
- Respond to medical emergencies under the supervision of the Program Director, Therapist, or Medical Director.
- Support clients through recovery, implement detoxification protocols, and manage medication administration.
- Maintain detailed and accurate clinical reports of client conditions and status.
- Manage other duties or assignments as required.
- High‑school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience, preferably in a Joint Commission‑compliant setting (hospital, medical, or detox/recovery environment).
- Proficiency in reading and understanding the English language.
- Current valid certificate from an accredited Substance Use Disorders certification program (minimum RADT).
- Current valid CPR and First Aid certificate.
- Valid California driver’s license and liability insurance if driving a personal vehicle on duty.
- Ability to stand, stoop, bend, squat, and lift up to twenty‑five pounds; must use a dolly or cart for heavier items.
- Adequate vision, hearing, manual dexterity, and eye‑hand coordination for job duties.
- Experience with self‑administration medication processes and ability to recognize withdrawal and medical emergencies.
