An exciting opportunity within the Inverness East Urban Social Work Team for two qualified Social Workers.
Highland Health and Social Care Services support people from all walks of life, as well as their families or carers, providing help and assistance in many situations arising due to illness, disability, old age or poverty. The Social Work Team sits within an Integrated Community Care Team, serving adults aged 25+.
The Inverness East Urban and East Rural Teams work together closely to cover a duty service across both areas. The role covers an urban patch and a significant rural area, requiring efficient.
Identity.
- Work alongside other professionals and agencies to undertake outcome‑based assessment and care planning for adults, underpinned by relevant legislation, sound values, and NHS policies.
- Conduct statutory intervention under Adult Protection legislation to support people at risk of harm and manage risk.
- Build resilience, address inequalities, maximise individuals’ potential and help realise citizenship, inclusivity and fairness for individuals and families.
- Demonstrate good communication skills, advocacy, and the ability to develop positive working relationships with colleagues, other professionals, and agencies in the interests of service users.
- Use IT systems and maintain accurate, timely record‑keeping.
- A Degree in Social Work and registration with the Scottish Social Services Council as a Social Worker is essential. A Diploma in Social Work with SSSC registration is an acceptable alternative.
- Confidence and ability in using IT systems.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a proportionate workload.
