Job Summary
The Facilities Technician is responsible for the maintenance and proper functionality of mechanical systems and devices. This includes daily on-site inspections, interventions, and reporting. They must ensure that safety measures are followed.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Daily on-site inspecting of mechanical systems (HVAC, DHW, Pools & Fountains, Sprinkler, LPG, kitchen equipment…), filling of checklists, and acting per the instructions of direct superiors
Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatuses, and components to locate the cause of a breakdown and perform reparation/replacement on faulty elements, utilizing hand and power tools
To follow the preventive maintenance calendar and to ensure that all activities are performed accordingly
Closely cooperate with the team leader about given tasks and activities
To be familiar with safety standards and legal requirements and to follow them in daily activities
To respond promptly and accurately to maintenance requests and work orders
Timely and accurate reporting to superiors and relevant parties about completed and uncompleted tasks
Record of all activities must be properly filled in in the maintenance software
Responsible for inventory and proper condition of personal tools, and large tools which are provided to the technicians on an as-needed basis
To report any failures or breakages immediately
Responsible for the cleanliness and organization of technical rooms and workshops
Monitoring of utility consumption (water, heating and cooling, LPG), reporting immediately if any deviation is noted
Searching for potential improvements in order to reduce consumption and improve work quality
To follow up with room maintenance as per the Perfect Room Program
To be familiar with the buildings in BoH and in public areas, all pieces of equipment, and installation (technical rooms, pipes and ducts routing, heating and cooling, ventilation, water supply and sewage, grease separators, pool technique, BMS, kitchen equipment, SPA and Gym equipment, elevators, sprinkler, utility meters, and other devices…)
To be familiar with main shut ’offs (water, electricity, heating and cooling, LPG) and to react quickly in case of an emergency
- Complete weekly homecare inspection for private homes as needed
- Service maintenance requests for private homes for both homeowner and rental guests as needed
- Carry out any projects and both preventative and routine maintenance for private homes as needed
Any and all other duties as assigned
Skills, Experience & Educational Requirements
Strong technical knowledge
Proven experience in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general maintenance
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical manuals
Excellent problem-solving abilities
Good spoken and written English
