• Operate heavy equipment, including excavators, loaders, dozers, rollers, graders, skid steers, and other construction machinery

• Perform grading, trenching, excavation, back filling, and site preparation

• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspections to ensure safe operation

• Perform preventative maintenance and report mechanical issues promptly

• Follow site plans, grade stakes, and supervisor instructions with accuracy

• Maintain compliance with OSHA and job site safety regulations

• Assist with manual labor tasks when needed to support the crew and keep projects on schedule

• Work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining productivity and safety standards

• Experience as a Heavy Equipment Operator in construction, excavation, or site development preferred; open to entry-to-mid level candidates with no minimum years required

• Proficiency in operating excavators, loaders, dozers, rollers, graders, skid steers, and similar heavy machinery

• Strong understanding of job site safety practices and OSHA guidelines

• Ability to perform routine equipment inspections and basic preventative maintenance

• Physically capable of performing manual labor and working in various outdoor environments

• Ability to follow detailed instructions, read site plans, and communicate effectively with crew members

• Valid Montana Driver’s License or ability to obtain and maintain one
