This hands‑on role safely provides quality electrical knowledge and skills to build projects that meet customer and Nomad specifications.
The Electrical Technician installs, tests, and quality‑assures the 12V and 120V systems within projects, while evaluating and continuously improving Nomad electrical processes, while maintaining consistent use of existing ones.
- Splice wires and solder connections to fixtures and equipment.
- Diagnose or repair problems with electrical equipment, such as lights, relays, battery isolators, generators sound, navigation, communication, security equipment, and leveling systems in motor vehicles.
- Run wires and cables for AC and DC systems, controls, and various electronic appliances.
- Cut openings and drill holes for fixtures and equipment, using electric drills, air saws, and multi-tools.
- Replace electrical or electronic components.
- Build wooden enclosures and carpeted wall panels to custom fit vehicle dimensions.
- Cross‑train in areas including, but not limited to, flooring installation, plumbing, door, and window installation, HVAC, cabinet and counter top making, welding, and IT integration.
- Perform additional duties as needed by Team Lead.

- Have a readiness and understanding of electrical pull sheets and wiring diagrams, electrical concepts, processes, and theories of 120
VAC and 12
VDC. - Knowledge of
- machines and tools, including their design, uses, repair, and maintenance.

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to use hands and arms to manipulate, handle, feel, reach, or operate objects, tools, or controls.
- The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, hear, and is occasionally required to sit.
- The employee must frequently lift and/or carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Anything heavier than 50 pounds will require two people to lift or carry.
- The employee must have the ability to work from heights at the ground floor up to 20 feet from the ground on ladders or platforms of varying sizes.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to distinguish individual colors.
- The work environment is a partially environmentally controlled indoor environment. Depending on the time of year, temperatures can fluctuate between 60°F and 100°F but is typically around 70°F. There are times when working outside will be required.
- The employee must have the ability to work from heights at the ground floor up to 20 feet from the ground on ladders or platforms of varying sizes.
- The employee may be subjected to noise levels, ranging from low volume to loud, and will be required to wear provided safety hearing devices from time to time, which will be provided.
- There is some exposure to strong odors and fumes.
