Our team is growing, and we are looking for a Lead Carpenter to play a key role in delivering high-quality construction projects throughout Western Montana. This position offers the opportunity to work on a variety of commercial and residential builds and remodels while helping guide crews, uphold safety and quality standards, and contribute to a positive team culture. The ideal candidate is an experienced carpenter with strong leadership skills, sound judgment, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Duties & Responsibilities- Comply with all company safety requirements, including wearing required PPE
- Arrive on time and prepared for the workday
- Perform accurate measurements and basic math calculations
- Safely and effectively use hand and power tools
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas and tools
- Complete layouts and assigned carpentry tasks with attention to detail
- Submit daily work reports as required
- Communicate professionally with clients, coworkers, and supervisors
- Report equipment issues, safety concerns, or jobsite conflicts promptly to the Direct Supervisor
- All other job duties as needed
- Experience in trim and finish carpentry preferred
- Working knowledge of construction methods, materials, and multiple trades
- Ability to perform quality control and follow applicable building codes
- Communicate effectively with Clients, Project Managers, and Subcontractors
- Promptly report all accidents and near-misses to supervision and HR
- Promote a strong safety culture through safe work practices and accountability
- Contribute to a positive, team-oriented work environment
- Bring questions, concerns, or challenges to leadership in a timely manner
- Demonstrate willingness to learn, adapt, and support team and company growth
- Exercise sound judgment and professionalism at all times
- Meet the physical demands of the position
- Valid driver’s license required (CDL a plus)
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and contribute beyond assigned tasks
- Minimum of 2 years of carpentry experience preferred
- Proficient with common hand and power tools
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications
- Pre-employment drug screen and background check required upon offer of employment
Job Type: Full-time, Monday - Friday
