Location: East Missoula
Role Summary
Neuroscience Account Manager (Psychiatry) – Missoula, MT. The role focuses on exceeding sales goals by delivering value to customers through differentiated products and services within the neuroscience portfolio. The position reports to the Neuroscience District Sales Manager and operates within assigned territory to promote products, build relationships, and ensure appropriate product access and reimbursement.
Responsibilities- Execute and promote products in alignment to sales strategy in the assigned territory.
- Collaborate with the District Sales Manager to respond to day-to-day sales and strategy direction related to product promotion activities.
- Analyze local market, develop, execute, and monitor performance to maximize appropriate product use in the territory.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products, disease areas, competition, and market reimbursement.
- Determine, implement, and monitor optimal resource allocation within the territory.
- Communicate effectively using advanced selling and negotiation skills to identified target audiences.
- Identify, build, and leverage advocacy channels.
- Secure product access and reimbursement within institutional systems as needed.
- Manage travel and promotional budget.
- Fulfill monitoring and reporting requirements including expenses and call reporting using approved systems.
- Maintain compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Meet reasonable credentialing requirements of healthcare providers, facilities, and government entities as a condition of employment.
- Additional ad-hoc projects as needed.
- BS or BA with GPA greater than 3.0. (Required)
- Minimum 3 years of pharmaceutical sales experience preferred. (Preferred)
- Candidates not meeting work experience requirements may be considered for the “Associate” role. (Optional)
- Atypical anti-psychotic experience and/or orphan drug experience preferred. (Preferred)
- Preferred specialty experience in psychiatry, bipolar, depression, CNS or pain management will be considered. (Preferred)
- Reimbursement experience preferred. (Preferred)
- Existing relationships (or those within 24 months) with psychiatrists and/or Community Mental Health Centers in the territory is preferred. (Preferred)
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving history. (Required)
- Self-Starter, goal- and results-driven—proven track record of above-average results. (Required)
- Fortitude to sell and compete with a hunter mentality. (Required)
- Strong relationships and knowledge of the territory preferred. (Preferred)
- Ability to travel (may include overnights). (Required)
- Out-of-territory travel to HQs, training, and sales meetings may be required. (Optional)
- Work hours may include meetings scheduled outside of normal working hours. (Optional)
- Must reside within territory geography. (Required)
- Goal- and results-driven with a proven track record of above-average results.
- Highly clinical, patient-centric, and tactical with excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to navigate complex markets and organizations.
- Strong work ethic and organizational skills.
- Dynamic, high-impact presenter with effective selling skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities independently and make sound decisions.
- Situational awareness to adjust strategies and overcome roadblocks.
- Customer-focused, self-motivated, and computer proficient.
- Must maintain a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record; able to travel as required.
- Physical capability to occasionally lift and move items up to 15 pounds.
- BS or BA with GPA greater than 3.0. (same as Qualifications)
- Travel expectations and occasional overnight travel may be required.
