Customer Service Associate

Overview

Customer Service Associate I at Family Dollar. This role focuses on delivering a positive shopping experience for customers.

• Assist customers with questions and recommendations
• Manage sales transactions at the assigned cash register
• Maintain security of cash and protect company assets
• Keep the store stocked and recover merchandise as needed
• Receive merchandise and assist with unloading trucks; stock replenishment according to productivity standards
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment with professional interactions
• Maintain store cleanliness, including restrooms, floors, trash, and neat, presentable areas
• Other duties as assigned

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous customer service experience in retail, hospitality, grocery, or related environments preferred
• Ability to follow instructions and interpret operational documents
• Must lift 30–50 lbs and perform frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting
• Excellent customer service and relationship management skills
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
