All Creatures Veterinary Service in Big Timber, MT, is seeking a full time associate to join our busy, rural mixed animal practice. An enthusiastic, team-oriented applicant with good communication skills is desired. New graduates with interest in small animal medicine and surgery, bovine herd health and reproduction, and general equine medicine and surgery considered. Clinic is equipped with hematology and chemistry analyzer, digital and dental radiography, ultrasounds, and Silencer hydraulic mobile chute.

We are nestled along two mountain ranges and the Yellowstone River in south central Montana which offers numerous outdoor recreational activities including hunting, hiking, camping, fishing, and boating. We have great clientele, and Big Timber offers many amenities. Referral clinics located approximately 1 hour east and west in Billings and Bozeman. Salary and benefits competitive. Education & Licensure- DVM or VMD degree from an AVMA-accredited veterinary school
- Eligible for or currently licensed to practice veterinary medicine in the state of Montana
- USDA accreditation (or willingness to obtain)
- Comfortable working in a true mixed-animal setting including small animal, large animal, and occasional equine cases
- Ability to perform or willingness to learn routine soft-tissue surgery
- Emergency and critical care stabilization skills
- Reproductive services including pregnancy checks, herd health, and breeding soundness exams
- Strong diagnostic and clinical decision-making abilities
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently, especially on farm and ranch calls
- Strong communication skills with clients, staff, and referral partners
- Team-oriented mindset with willingness to mentor or be mentored
- Compassionate, ethical, and committed to high-quality patient care
- Adaptable and comfortable with the unique challenges of rural practice
- Ability to lift and restrain animals with appropriate team support
- Comfort working outdoors in varying Montana weather conditions
- Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation for large animal emergencies
- Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a practice vehicle

- Experience in mixed animal or rural practice preferred but not required
Preferred Qualifications
- Interest in community involvement and building long-term client relationships
- Familiarity with herd health programs and preventive medicine
- Comfort using modern practice software and electronic medical records
