The Material Handler at Nomad GCS is responsible for efficiently moving, handling, and storing various materials across the campus to support multiple projects. This role involves receiving deliveries, verifying the accuracy of products, managing inventory, and ensuring materials are properly distributed to departments.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITY:

• Serve as a point of contact for the Supply Chain Department and other divisions, assisting with material counts and inventory-related tasks.

• Receive and verify the accuracy of incoming deliveries, including checking the quantity and quality of parts and products.

• Label products and organize them in designated areas according to the established system.

• Research order statuses and maintain communication with stakeholders via email, phone, and in person regarding deliveries.

• Track shipments and update inventory records.

• Load and unload materials from incoming shipments, and transfer materials around campus using a forklift when necessary.

• Deliver materials to various departments and ensure the timely return of products to stock from job sites.

• Handle returns, completing required documentation and coordinating communication for returns.

• Collaborate with internal departments to locate missing packages, resolve incorrect deliveries, and manage damaged products.

• Perform cycle counting and ensure accurate inventory records are maintained.

• Maintain stock levels for manufacturing sub cells and assist in setting up future cells with the Innovative Solutions Group.

• Ensure materials are properly stored and organized within inventory areas.

• Perform data entry and maintain records through electronic and physical filing systems.

• Promote a safe working environment and perform required safety checks on material handling equipment.

• Take on additional duties as assigned.

BASIC KNOWLEDGE DESIRED:

• Ability to work effectively in a team environment, adhering to principles of safety, cleanliness, and timeliness.

• Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills.

• Proficient in data entry and maintaining accurate records, both electronically and in paper form.

• Ability to prioritize tasks efficiently and manage time around others' schedules.

• Proficient with multi-line phone systems and internet searches for company and product research.

• Ability to operate material handling tools, including hand trucks, pallet jacks, and forklifts. Willingness to receive training on forklift and other warehouse equipment.

• Demonstrate understanding and application of Nomad GCS Core Values.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Regular use of hands and arms to manipulate, handle, feel, reach, or operate objects, tools, or controls.

• Frequent standing, walking, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, sitting, and crawling.

• Frequently lift/move up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds. Assistance required for anything heavier than 50 pounds.

• Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus and distinguish colors.

• Must have the physical stamina to work in awkward positions and stand for prolonged periods.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

• Partially environmentally controlled indoor area with temperatures fluctuating between 60°F and 100°F, typically maintained around 70°F.

• Occasional outdoor work required.

• Exposure to noise levels ranging from low to loud; safety hearing devices provided as needed.
