Job Description - Case Manager-Temporary ). MONTANA STATE PRISON, DEER LODGE, MT. The Montana Department of Corrections (DOC) is creating a safer Montana through Accountability, Rehabilitation and Empowerment. The Rehabilitation and Programs Division ensures the physical and mental well-being of inmates, delivers educational and vocational opportunities within prisons, and oversees community facilities dedicated to successfully reintegrating offenders into Montana communities. This division also delivers trauma-informed support to victims of offenders in the correctional system. Join the team responsible for building better tomorrows today!

Responsibilities
  • The Case Manager addresses and supports offenders assigned to Montana State Prison by using appropriate programming, education, treatment, individual program directives and release planning.
  • Look at system risk and transition services for offenders.
  • Case Planning, prioritizing and managing caseloads.
  • Classification of offenders.
  • Conduct Risk Assessments through Motivational Interviewing (MORRA).
  • Facilitate groups related to the specific needs of the population (Victims Impact or Career Path Group Types).
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s in criminal justice, psychology, education or a related field.
  • 2 years of job-related experience.
  • Alternative combinations of education and experience will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
