The Public Areas Attendant is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and presentation of all interior and exterior common areas including lobbies, restrooms, offices, hallways, and outdoor spaces. This role helps create a welcoming environment for both guests and staff and ensure guests’ first impression of the Ranch is up to their luxury standards as well as the standards set for Forbes Five-Star properties and members of Relais & Chateaux.
With honesty, professionalism, and genuine hospitality, the Public Areas Attendant promotes a positive image of the property and responds promptly to guest needs and requests.
- Cleans and maintains all public spaces according to Standard Operating Procedures and as assigned by supervisor.
- Anticipates needs of the day by planning around scheduled activities and events.
- Stocks linens, supplies, and amenities for team use; assists with guest deliveries as needed.
- Monitors the condition and functionality of appliances, furniture, and fixtures; reports any necessary repairs promptly.
- Supports laundry operations and housekeeping services during high-demand periods.
- Maintains safe, secure, and healthy environments by following safety standards and legal regulations.
- Keeps storage and supply areas tidy, organized, and properly stocked.
- Ensures equipment is properly maintained by following operating instructions.
- Promotes teamwork and service excellence through communication and coordination with other team members.
- Responds to guest requests and concerns promptly, professionally, and with discretion.
- Performs additional duties as assigned by the Housekeeping Supervisor or Manager.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid Driver’s License preferred.
- At least 6 months of prior housekeeping, custodial, or hospitality experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs. regularly.
- Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Comfortable using radios, email, or communication devices and responding in a timely manner.
