PRIMARY PURPOSE

The Activities Coordinator is responsible for creating a professional and positive environment for guests and employees by monitoring the Activities Department Front Desk (Rod and Gun Club). This role ensures that guides are performing to the best of their ability and guests receive an experience that meets the standards set for Forbes Five-Star properties and members of Relais & Chateaux.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Warmly welcome guests to The Rod and Gun club.
  • Oversee guides; ensure guides are ready at appropriate times prior to scheduled activities with gear and supplies loaded into clean vehicles.
  • Review each guest itinerary and adjust as necessary; tailor activity assignments based on each guide’s skills and abilities.
  • Locate guides and guests when needed, inform guides of guest arrival for each activity, and introduce guest to respective guide.
  • Perform any legal documentation or protocol needed to provide guests with fishing and hunting licenses.
  • Provide tours of The Rod and Gun building and department when needed.
  • Keep meticulous records via Excel, Google Drive and booking software.
  • Interact with guests daily; anticipate guest needs and communicate on multiple platforms.
  • Stock and track retail inventory and sales regularly.
REQUIREMENTS
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Current, valid Driver’s License required.
  • Previous experience at the Rod & Gun Club preferred.
  • Ability to stand, sit, walk, and move continuously for duration of shift.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and nights.
  • Ability and willingness to change individual and group actions consistent with the changing needs of our organization and industry.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills with guides and guests.
