Logan Health is growing its Behavioral Health team in Montana’s Hi-Line region, and we’re looking for compassionate, community-minded therapists to help us expand mental health care to the rural communities we serve. We have four new positions available to choose from in Shelby, Conrad, or Chester, Montana. Our clinics support patients across the lifespan, with strong ties to the surrounding communities, including school-based clinics.

What

You’ll Be Doing

This position plays a vital role in improving mental wellness by providing both brief interventions and traditional therapy in a hybrid clinic model. You'll work collaboratively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated, compassionate care.

  • Participating in employee and community-based committees
  • Advocating for mental health awareness and access
  • Providing suicide prevention courses (if trained)
  • Supporting integrated behavioral health in a rural healthcare setting
  • Building lasting relationships rooted in trust and community engagement
Who You Are

You are a licensed mental health professional (LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT) with a strong sense of initiative and a deep commitment to supporting rural communities. You bring versatility in working with both adult and pediatric populations, and ideally, you have at least two years of clinical experience. We also welcome applications from new graduates seeking supervised hours toward LCPC licensure.

You are independent, dependable, and self-motivated. You are skilled in both brief interventions and long-term therapy and passionate about community engagement and mental health advocacy.

Work Location and Schedule Details

As part of our dedicated Behavioral Health team, you'll be providing care in one of our four clinics of your choosing. This position will work four 10‑hour shifts per week, Monday - Thursday.

Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology or related counseling field required.
  • Current Montana LCSW, LCPC or LMFT licensure required. (We will consider an LCPC licensure candidate needing supervision.)
  • Minimum of 2 years of mental health counseling experience is preferred.
  • Current CPR certification required as applicable to assigned area(s).
  • Possess knowledge of evidence‑based practice and experience in assessment, crisis assessment, brief therapies, and clinical case management preferred.
  • Ability to analyze, intervene and evaluate a range of psychosocial theory and methods as applicable to assigned area(s).
  • Possess knowledge of cultural, ethnic, social, historical and spiritual issues relevant to the provision of mental health treatment as applicable to assigned area(s) preferred.
  • Possess a working knowledge of:
    Psychiatry, Psychology, Social Work, Education, and/or Marriage and Families.
  • Experience and/or knowledge of behavioral health disorders and treatment modalities.
  • Excellent organizational skills, detail‑oriented, self‑starter, possess critical thinking skills and be able to set priorities and function as part of a team as well as independently.
  • Commitment to working in a team environment and maintaining confidentiality as needed.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with various audiences.
