Chenega Government Mission Solutions, LLC, a Chenega Professional Services’ company, is looking for a Pharmacy Technician in support of the Indian Health Service's Fort Peck Service Unit in Wolf Point and Poplar, Montana.

Responsibilities- Read and interpret prescriptions, obtain proper medication in the proper strength and dosage form.
- Determine proper amounts and counts, pours or measures the medication.
- Affix proper labels and record required data on Pharmacy’s copy of prescription order.
- Dispense medication in ambulatory care or discharge situations (after a final check by Pharmacist).
- Independently fills first dose medications, missing doses, and unit dose carts for inpatient areas without routine secondary review.
- Document items dispensed in the unit dose computer package.
- Prepare IV admixtures.
- Assist with inventory management.
- Provide patient education on pharmacy topics such as requesting refills, drug information sheets, and relaying questions to the Pharmacist.
- Review, prepares, and fills physician orders.
- Perform pharmacy checks on sterile orders, bulk drug orders, and replenishing of medical carts.
- Assist in conducting medication storage area inspections.
- Assures safe handling procedures for hazardous drugs.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a pharmacy technician training program.
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) credential required.
- 2-4 years of pharmacy technician experience, including clinical support functions.
- Familiarity with IHS pharmacy systems and federal pharmacy regulations.
- Estimated Salary/Wage: USD $22.58/Hr. Up to USD $28.00/Hr.
