• Safely operating contemporary CT scanners, executing scanning protocols, and adjusting parameters to optimize image quality for diagnostic confidence.
• Proper patient positioning, immobilization, and comfort strategies to minimize motion and maximize diagnostic yield.
• Administering and monitoring contrast media when indicated, assessing patient tolerance, and recognizing and responding to potential adverse reactions.
• Acquiring rapid, high-quality axial, coronal, and sagittal reconstructions; reviewing images for artifacts; and communicating findings to radiologists with clarity and timeliness.
• Adhering to radiation safety standards, dose optimization principles, and QC procedures; assisting with equipment maintenance and performance checks.
• Documenting procedures, tracking study queues, and ensuring accurate labeling, coding, and patient records.
• Collaborating with radiologists, nurses, and technologists to ensure seamless patient flow and excellent patient experience.
• Participating in ongoing professional development and cross-training opportunities to broaden CT capabilities, including evolving applications like CT angiography and cardiac CT as available.
