Whitehall 6-12 is seeking a Math teacher, starting the school year. The 6-12 Math department has 2 teachers. An applicant able to teach high school level Algebra I and Geometry. Knowledge of Algebra II, Pre-Calculus, and Calculus is desired as this position also supports students who take those courses through Montana Digital Academy or Helena College. 4-day school week (no school Fridays).
The school year starts for students on August 17 and ends the last week of May.
- Administer appropriate district curriculum which is aligned with the state standards.
- Ensure the opportunity for all students to learn in a supportive environment.
- Create and maintain a constructive, orderly, and academically focused instructional environment.
- Analyze student progress and provide appropriate instruction.
- Provide a classroom management/discipline plan ensuring safety at all times.
- Ensure assessment guidelines and regulations are followed at all times.
- Work professionally with administrators, staff, parents, and community.
- Integrate appropriate technology as available into the instructional program.
- Participate in other job-related duties and activities as assigned.
Hold a valid Montana Class 1 or 2 Teaching License with Secondary Mathematics Endorsement, or be able to obtain via out-of-state reciprocity. We would also consider a candidate from a non-instructional mathematical background with a 4-year degree in mathematics, science, accounting/finance, or a related field, who would be eligible for alternative teacher licensing.
