DescriptionFor this full-time lecturer position, we are looking for a dynamic instructor who is capable of teaching a variety of undergraduate classes, including introductory statistics, research methods, cognitive psychology, personality psychology, and social psychology.
Clemson University is an R1 Carnegie institution that is currently No. 36 in the US News and World Report ranking of the nation’s top public universities. The campus is located in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains near outstanding year‑round recreational opportunities.
The Department of Psychology is a research‑oriented department with 39 full‑time faculty, more than 1,100 undergraduate majors and more than 60 graduate students (department site).
We currently have PhD programs in Health Psychology, Human Factors Psychology, and Industrial‑Organizational Psychology, and an MS program in Applied Psychology.
Lecturers are expected to participate in departmental service and engage in the broader academic life of the Department. The Department supports professional development and growth through the Lecturer promotion track (Lecturer → Senior Lecturer → Principal Lecturer).
Qualifications- For the Full‑Time Lecturer we are looking for a dynamic instructor who is capable of teaching a variety of undergraduate classes, including introductory statistics, research methods, cognitive psychology, personality psychology, and social psychology.
- Applicants must have a master’s degree in psychology or a closely related field with a Ph.D. preferred.
- Applicants must have a demonstrated excellence or strong potential in teaching at the undergraduate level.
