Location: Brockton

Brockton is a small community of approximately 250 people located in northeast Montana and on the east end of the Fort Peck Assiniboine and Sioux Indian Reservation. The Class C school district consists of one K-12 building and has an enrollment of roughly 150 students 97% of whom are Native American.

We are looking to hire one History teacher for the  school year. The position will work under the guidance of the building Principal and Assistant Principal and be responsible for the instruction and supervision of Elementary students (other duties as assigned). Class size range from 8 to 20 students. With base compensation set at $45,484.00, we offer a very competitive salary schedule. Credit on the salary schedule will be given up to ten (10) years of contracted teaching experience. Benefits include health, vision and dental insurance. The District currently pays 100% of monthly premiums (i.e. single, two party, two party with children, and full family). An HSA and HRA is also provided to cover most of the deduction cost (all for single and half for family).

District housing may be available for low rent ($350 per month). Finally, we may offer a onetime $1,000 stipend for moving expenses for those moving from outside our general geographic area. Certified employees are annually given 15 sick days, 3 personal days, and 5 bereavement days.
