In accordance with the SKC Mission Statement, the Infant/Toddler Teacher's primary function is to provide a safe and healthy learning environment and interactions for children enrolled in the Salish Kootenai College Early Learning Center. The Infant/Toddler Teacher serves as the primary caregiver and educator, supporting the learning of children aged 0-23 months. They collaborate with parents, staff members, and other teachers at the Early Learning Center to support children's developmental needs.
The Infant-Toddler Teacher will support the development of lesson plans, implement activities, observe children's progress, and document findings in accordance with the Center's curriculum and assessment policies.
- Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education, P-3 or Elementary Education, or working towards one, Or Child Development Associates.
- Documented 1-year experience working with children ages 0-5 years in a formal early childhood setting, such as an Early Head Start classroom, childcare facility, family childcare setting, etc. (preferred).
- Knowledge of child development ages 0-3 years.
