- Performs preventative maintenance repairs of all machinery and equipment. Preventative maintenance includes, but is not limited to, roll changes for Fenn machines, cleaning and flushing chiller units, etc.
- Performs surface grinding on a daily basis (e.g., top/bottom die grinding, side die grinding, large screw press die grinding).
- Demonstrates advanced knowledge and experience with related maintenance skills such as welding, engine lathes and CNC vertical milling machines. Experience with machinery of equitable complexity is acceptable.
- Maintains working knowledge of CAD/CAM and CAD/CAM applications as they apply to milling machines.
- Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
- Performs mechanic duties including welding, plumbing, electrical maintenance, and lockout/tagout procedures.
- Performs emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment.
- Oversees maintenance operations in the absence of the Maintenance Supervisor.
- Able to read blueprints and schematics with a high degree of accuracy.
- Able to read micrometers, tape measures, and calipers with a high degree of accuracy.
- Excellent people skills and the ability to interact well with all levels of employees, including maintenance staff.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate responsibilities in the absence of the Maintenance Supervisor.
- Self-driven with close attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Written and verbal English communication skills.
- Able to work with a team to accomplish company goals.
- Strict adherence to safety procedures and guidelines including wearing all personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Willingness to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Adherence to attendance policy.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Electrician, plumber, CAD, or other relevant certification.
- At least 8 years of maintenance-related experience.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Experience working in a tool or manufacturing environment.
