* Design of silicon photonic integrated optical components and circuits
* Transfer of designs to manufacturing, working closely with layout and wafer process engineers
* Preparation of documentation for design libraries and design reviews
* Production of test plans for fabricated devices
* Analysis and presentation of test data
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
* Ph.D. in integrated optics/silicon photonics
* 3+ years of relevant experience in the design and characterization of silicon photonic devices
* Proficiency in standard integrated optical simulation and design tools and in MATLAB coding
* Good understanding of silicon fabrication processes
* Ability to adapt and operate under tight deadlines
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATION
* Hands-on experience of testing optical devices
* Experience of the application of silicon photonics to LIDAR systems
