SiLC is looking for a skilled an enthusiastic Analog Electronics Engineer to be a part of a dynamic and experienced team focused on building a revolutionary 4D sensing solution. This person will be responsible for testing and experimentation on complex circuits in analog and mixed-signal domain. Candidate is required to have background in analog electronics. The candidate should have strong communication skills as he or she will interface with our development team leads & senior management, as well as our exceptional team of hardware and test engineers.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

* Analyze and understand the expected functionality from different building blocks on a PCB

* Perform spice simulation to confirm functionality and performance metrics of the circuit such as noise, linearity, bandwidth, gain, etc.

* Come up with test steps for verifying functionality and performance of complex circuit boards

* Use lab instruments such as signal generators, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, vector network analyzers, etc. to perform the necessary tests

* Post-process the collected data in MATLAB to look at time-domain data, spectrum, noise floor, and other critical metrics.

* Draw conclusions based on test results and propose fixes for potential issues

Qualifications

* BSc or MSc degree in electrical engineering

* 2+ years of industry experience

* Experience with testing analog, RF, and mixed-signal circuits

* Familiar with using a range of lab instruments such as signal generators, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, vector network analyzers, etc.

* Hands on experience with debugging and fixing complex experimental setups and circuits

* Good technical writing skills for documenting design specifications and test results

Preferred Qualification

* Experience with high-speed and low-noise electronics for optical interfaces (laser driver, TIA)

* Familiar with optoelectronic experimental setups (lasers, fiber components, etc.)

* Experience with PCB design

* Familiar with FPGA programming

* Familiar with programming languages such as Python, C, etc.

* Background in lidar or FMCW radar
