ACCOUNTING SPECIALIST
Pittsburgh, PA
$25-$35/ HR
OVERVIEW OF THE ACCOUNTING SPECIALIST ROLE:
- Post and apply daily cash receipts
- Manage billing and accounts receivable transactions
- Research and resolve payment discrepancies
- Monitor A/R aging and follow up on open balances
- Assist with month-end close and account reconciliations
- Support journal entries related to revenue and A/R
- Maintain accurate documentation and internal controls
- Assist with audits and ad hoc accounting projects
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE ACCOUNTING SPECIALIST:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or in progress)
- 2+ years of accounting or A/R experience
- Strong attention to detail and organization
- Proficient in Excel and accounting systems
- Motivated to grow within an accounting career
