Job SummaryThe Truck Driver is responsible for the safe, timely, and compliant transportation of ingredients, equipment, and supplies between Sabrosura Foods facilities and approved third-party logistics (3PL) partner locations. This role requires strict adherence to DOT regulations, GMPs, food safety standards, and company procedures while ensuring accurate documentation and vehicle cleanliness.
Job Responsibilities- Transport ingredients, equipment, and supplies between Sabrosura Foods facilities and approved third-party logistics (3PL) locations.
- Complete and maintain accurate transportation documentation, including Bills of Lading (BOLs) and delivery records.
- Conduct required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns.
- Comply with all DOT, federal, state, and local transportation regulations.
- Follow all SOPs, SSOPs, GMPs, food safety, and sanitation requirements.
- Maintain truck cleanliness and sanitation standards.
- Communicate safety, quality, or transportation issues to management.
- Operate forklifts and material handling equipment as required.
- Valid CDL Class B license with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to maintain required DOT medical certification.
- Ability to read, understand, and follow written procedures, SOPs, and safety requirements.
- Strong communication skills to coordinate with internal teams and 3PL partners.
- Attention to detail and ability to complete accurate transportation documentation.
- Dependable attendance and punctuality to meet transportation schedules.
- Ability to work independently while following established procedures and safety standards.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the role in a manufacturing and warehouse environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum 2–3 years of CDL driving experience required.
- Experience in food manufacturing, distribution, or logistics environments preferred but not required.
- Ability to perform moderately strenuous work, including standing, walking, bending, twisting, pushing, and squatting.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
- Work environment may include cool or wet conditions, moderate noise levels, and exposure to approved cleaning and sanitation chemicals.
