Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Long Term Care
A Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in a long-term care facility provides direct nursing care to residents, ensuring their comfort, safety, and overall well-being. The LPN works under the supervision of an RN or physician and helps manage residents’ daily healthcare needs.
Responsibilities:
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Monitor residents’ vital signs and health conditions
- Assist with daily patient care and support activities of daily living
- Document patient care and maintain accurate medical records
- Communicate with physicians, RNs, and healthcare team regarding resident status
- Respond to medical emergencies and changes in condition
- Ensure compliance with facility policies and healthcare regulations
Requirements:
- Active LPN license
- Experience in Long Term Care (LTC) or Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) preferred
- Strong patient care and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment
