Overview

Position Title: Operator

Wage: $17.50 per hour

Shift: 3rd

Hours: 12:00am - 8:00am

QPS Employment Group has a great opportunity for an Operator position at a company in Monroe, WI. This is a 3rd shift position.

• Perform manufacturing, rework, and inspection operations necessary to produce an acceptable product.
• Remain at the workstation unless relieved by an authorized employee or unless the assigned job requires the employee to move between workstations.
• Watch molds to ensure parts are not closed in and the sprue is not stringing, causing buildup on the mold.
• Load inserts properly if required; trim flash and snip gates as needed.
• Print, Assemble, Sort, Drill, or Gauge parts as required.
• Maintain standard cycles and monitor for water or oil leaks; report any issues.
• Watch and report safety malfunctions, such as drop bar failures or drill press guard issues.
• Listen to instructions and changing sounds of machinery (noise of mold, machine, grinder, pump, drop bar).
• Pass on information and instructions to the relieving operator.
• Perform any inspector functions at the job station and perform packaging and labeling as instructed.
• Familiarize self with information posted at the job station pertaining to part quality, packaging requirements, method of operations, and safety.
• Use all time allocated before the start of each shift to review and perform the same job functions without disruptions.
• Perform any post-molding operations as required at the job station, including assemble, glue, polish.
• Grind runners, sprues, and other scrap in a manner that does not damage equipment from overload.
• Call for and notify supervision promptly if trouble develops with the mold, equipment, or quality problems arise.
• Adhere to all company policies regarding conduct, safety practices, job performance, and quality standards.
• Keep the immediate workstation clean and assist in the training of inexperienced operators as instructed by supervision.

• Standing in one place for long periods of time and some bending (approximately 45-degree angle).
• Lift up to 25 lbs throughout the shift.
• Ability to work in a warm environment.
• Able to alternate between standing and sitting in certain work areas.
