Job Summary:
This position is responsible for working closely with management, maintenance, and production staff to keep production equipment and plant facilities in a safe and efficient working manner. This position is responsible to complete all assigned preventative maintenance (PM) duties including schedule tasks as described in the Master Sanitation Program. This position requires that you are available for emergency call ins per schedule.
Weekend hours are often worked as well as the occasional holiday. Must be able to work on own with little or no supervision and be self-motivated.
Shift Differentials: 10% Shift Differential on top of hourly wage when working 1pm - 9pm; 15% Shift Differential on top of hourly wage when working 9pm - 5am
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform all scheduled PM's as assigned including Master Sanitation Program tasks.
- Perform all necessary emergency and scheduled repairs on machines.
- Maintain accurate and neat record keeping as it pertains to PM's and Master Sanitation Program.
- Follow all Sabrosura Foods safety policies, including Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO), PPE usage, and GMPs.
- Work closely with management and factory personnel to effectively schedule, source parts/supplies for and make repairs to equipment.
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions to grow technical knowledge.
- Consistently shows ability to anticipate, recognize, and deal with changing situations, obstacles, & priorities in a positive manner.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by your supervisor.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Strong listening skills and ask questions to understand instructions for work-related activities

- Verbal and written communication skills; including ability to read, understand, and follow written procedures (SOPs)
- Must be able to trouble shoot equipment and systems such as HVAC, refrigeration, boilers, general electrical, including VFD's.
- Must have basic plumbing and carpentry skills.
- Must have a basic understanding of PLC's and process engineering principles.
- Honest and high level of Integrity
- High degree of personal hygiene per GMPs
- Dependable attendance to meet business demands
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Food manufacturing experience preferred but not required. Previous experience in maintenance or production support is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform heavy, physical work, exercising up to 50 pounds of strength frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
- Ability to substantially move wrists, hands, and/or fingers for the purpose of adjusting machine parts and computer operations.
- Must be able to work in a production environment with exposure to food ingredients, water, and cleaning chemicals
Monday - Friday, 1:00pm - 9:30pm, OT as required on Weekends
