Responsibilities
Fairfax Behavioral Health is seeking a licensed Group Therapist for our Monroe location. This position is an integral part of the clinical care team in our inpatient program at our Monroe location.
Position Summary - Schedule Sun-Thur or Tue-Sat. The Substance Use Disorder Professional completes Substance Use evaluations (American Society of Addiction Medicine, ASAM assessment), conducts recovery-oriented group therapy, supervises SUDPTs, and provides training to case managers on the proper administration of an ASAM evaluation. Utilizes evidence-based practice in assisting patients achieve their optimal level of mental and emotional health with a focus on chemical dependency issues.
Fairfax Behavioral Health (a UHS Facility) — Fairfax Behavioral Health, founded in 1930, is a private, free-standing mental health hospital that specializes in psychiatric and detox treatment. Education: Masters degree from an accredited college or university in human services, social work, counseling or related field.
- Must have a valid WA State license (LICSW, LMHC, LMFT) or associate clinical licensure.
- Must posess a Substance Use Disorder Professional/Trainee (SUDP) or (SUDPT) certificate or obtain upon hire.
- Must obtain CPR, First Aid, Handle with Care, and Verbal De-Escalation certifications provided by facility upon hire.
Experience:
- Preferred two (2) years, post-Master’s experience in a psychiatric health care setting.
- Direct experience in individual and family group therapies, crisis intervention, and treatment planning.
- Direct experience managing a caseload of up to 14 clients.
- Skills and experience in community relations and group presentation.
- Skills and experience in group facilitation, group adaptation, and curriculum development.
