Job Description
The Shipping Administrator role is focused on managing system-based processes for shipping and receiving. This position involves both administrative tasks and hands-on activities, including physically receiving and stocking materials, packaging, and sending work-in-progress to outside vendors, as well as packaging and shipping finished goods. The successful candidate will accurately perform these tasks and report them in the software system. The role requires splitting time equally between office work and outdoor warehouse tasks, involving physical activity and lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally.

- Physically receive and stock materials, package and send work-in-progress to outside vendors.
- Package and ship finished goods accurately and report in the software system.
- Split time between office and warehouse locations, working on feet for half of the time.
- Provide backup for purchase order generation and customer order entry.
- Perform scanning and filing duties.
- Work collaboratively as part of a team and independently when required.
- Occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
- Experience in supply chain management, data entry, and administrative support.
- Proficiency in Excel data entry and logistics management.
- Experience in shipping, receiving, and purchasing processes.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with MRP/ERP systems such as Epicor is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Experience in inside sales or customer service is advantageous.
- Flexibility and a positive attitude.
The work environment includes a schedule from 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM Monday through Thursday, with shorter hours on Fridays from 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM. The role involves working half the time in an office space and half in a shop setting as part of a small, intimate team. Pay And BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
