Senior Accountant

We are seeking a Sr. Accountant for a sustainable custom wood products manufacturer. This role leads key aspects of the monthly close, prepares financial statements, supports budgeting activities, and manages day to day accounting tasks.

• Lead monthly close activities, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations
• Prepare internal financial statements in accordance with GAAP

• Perform financial analysis to support budgeting and forecasting
• Assist with daily cash management and treasury activities, including monitoring of cash balances and investments

• Maintain internal controls and support adherence to accounting policies
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of the general ledger
• Support cost accounting activities as needed

• Prepare multi state sales tax filings, including B&O tax
• Gather information for external CPAs in support of income tax preparation

• Prepare audit work papers and provide support to external auditors
• Assist in coordinating financial statement, 401(k), and statutory audits

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 3–5+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal controls
• Experience with monthly close, financial statements, and audits
• Manufacturing or cost accounting experience a plus
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Experience with Sage Intacct a plus
