Job Summary
  • The BVG Landscape Foreman oversees the installation of landscape upgrades for commercial maintenance accounts.
  • This position requires travel with overnight stays. Housing and Per Diem are provided by the company to cover all meals and incidentals.
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Conduct daily/weekly job site inspections
  • Complete job site checklist
  • Oversee installation of landscape, irrigation, and other site development operations
  • Schedule and coordinate timely delivery of materials and equipment
  • Read plans electronically via iPad/Laptop
  • Operate GPS equipment to assist in layout of various scopes of work
  • Communicate with general contractor/client on a daily basis
  • Communicate with internal project management team as necessary
  • Navigate electronic time entries as well as productivity entries
  • Operate heavy equipment safely and appropriately
  • Operate heavy equipment that may include trucks, front‑end loaders, dozers, graders, compactors, trenchers, backhoes, and other pieces of equipment
  • Clean heavy equipment as scheduled and/or required
  • Ensure heavy equipment is safely and securely stored
  • Responsible for crew’s production rates, quality control and safety
  • Assist in job scheduling and coordination of subcontractors
  • Lead daily stretch and flex as well as weekly tailgate safety meetings ensuring employee attendance
  • Enforce on‑site safety practices, including traffic hazard reviews, hard‑hat and safety gear checks, underground utility alerts and trade hazard evaluations, and general public safety assessments
  • Report unsafe behavior or incidents to the Superintendent and Safety Office
  • Submit accident reports in accordance with company policy
  • Safeguard company assets and ensure proper use of materials and tools
  • Support internal controls to prevent fraud and ensure proper segregation of duties
  • Uphold confidentiality of proprietary information and comply with all laws, regulations, and company ethics policies
  • Periodically reconcile physical assets with accounting records
Education & Experience
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in construction or landscape installation
  • Proven leadership experience managing crews on active job sites
  • Familiarity with reading and interpreting electronic blueprints
  • Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment
  • Strong attention to detail and a solid work ethic
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Bilingual (Spanish) strongly preferred
  • First Aid certification (or ability to become certified)
  • OSHA 30 certification (or ability to become certified)
Physical Demands / Requirements
  • Ability to lift and carry 40 lbs. (shrubs, mulch, etc.)
  • Ability to load/unload miscellaneous materials from semi‑trailers (up to 50 lbs.)
  • Ability to bend, stoop and twist continuously throughout the day
Work Environment
  • Work in or around situations near direct automotive traffic
  • Work near or around natural bodies of water
  • Work 8+ hours per day with applicable breaks, 5 days per week (some overtime/weekend work required)
  • Ability to work in extreme conditions – temperatures may exceed 100°F
  • Ability to work in direct sunlight for extended periods of time

Compensation Pay Range

Pay range for this role is $28–$35 per hour, dependent on previous work experience and licenses/certifications held.
