Overview:
Our client, a well-established company in the Middletown, Ohio area, is seeking a detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to provide dedicated support to the Tax Department. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with numbers, data, and documentation, and who has strong Excel and organizational skills. The Administrative Assistant will play a key role in ensuring the department runs smoothly and efficiently, assisting with reporting, filing, and compliance-related administrative tasks.
Responsibilities of Administrative Assistant:
Provide administrative and clerical support to the Tax Department and related accounting staff.
Maintain accurate digital and physical filing systems for financial and tax records.
Input, track, and manage data in Excel spreadsheets; generate summaries and reports as needed.
Coordinate communication between internal departments and external partners (e.g., auditors, consultants, government agencies).
The Administrative Assistant will schedule meetings, maintain calendars, and track key filing deadlines.
Assist with invoice processing, document collection, and record retention.
The Administrative Assistant will support the broader administrative team with other office or departmental projects as assigned.
Proven experience as an Administrative Assistant, preferably in a tax, finance, or accounting setting.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, data entry, and formatting).
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
The Administrative assistant must have excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
High level of professionalism, confidentiality, and accuracy in handling sensitive information.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
