Position: OR Nurse (RN) | Monroe, North Carolina
An experienced Registered Nurse with a strong background in operating room care is needed for a contract position in Monroe, NC. This opportunity offers the chance to work in a high-volume surgical environment with a diverse case mix, including orthopedics, general surgery, robotics, and more. The position requires at least two years of OR experience and offers a supportive team environment with dedicated assistants and anesthesia staff.

Location Overview:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide perioperative nursing care in a 13-room operating suite, covering a wide range of specialties such as orthopedic, spine, general surgery, urology, robotic, gynecology, and plastic surgery.
  • Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure patient safety and quality care throughout the surgical process.
  • Utilize EPIC EMR to document patient care and manage case workflow.
  • Participate in on-call rotation and cover night and weekend shifts as required.
  • Attend orientation to fully acclimate to facility protocols and technology.
Qualifications:
  • Current RN licensure.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in operating room nursing.
  • BLS certification required.
  • Strong knowledge of surgical procedures across multiple specialties.
  • Experience with EPIC EMR system preferred.
  • Able to participate in a flexible call schedule including weeknights and weekends.
Schedule:
  • 12-hour day shifts, .
  • Call rotation includes 3-4 weeknight calls and 1-2 weekend shifts every 6 weeks.
  • Holiday coverage included in call rotation.
