We are currently looking for a Manufacturing Associate in our Forge Department at the Bakers facility in Monroe, NC. You will play a valuable role performing a variety of tasks within the department such as operating the furnaces, cut-off saw, grinder, Glama, forklift, and crane as you acquire skills on the shop floor through cross training and job rotations.
Responsibilities- Set up and operate machines safely within the standard operating procedures, detecting faulty equipment and defective material.
- Mark dimensions and use correct measuring tools such as tape measures.
- Adhere to all safety policies, practices, and procedures.
- Work from mill orders and procedures to obtain specifications such as dimensions, tolerances, and other instructions to meet customer specifications.
- Maintain all required work and material identification. Verify data collection to maintain logs, records and other paperwork that is required.
- Basic:
High School diploma or GED - Preferred:
At least one (1) year of manufacturing experience - Skills:
Basic computer skills;
Basic math skills;
Analytical and problem-solving skills
