Machinist - Heat - 1st Shift

Machinist A - Heat Treat - 1st Shift at CIRCOR International, Inc.

To heat treat parts, tools, and materials involving carburizing, plating, hardening, tempering, annealing, stress relieving.

• Read thermometers, ammeters, voltmeters, indicating and recording instruments; use measuring equipment.
• Complete quality forms and other required paperwork.
• Maintain a clean, safe, efficient work area.
• Set up induction heaters; run trial heats; determine necessary voltage, current, frequency, feeds, speed, type of induction coil and water flow. Check sample piece for hardness and distortion; interpret samples for correct hardening technique.
• Use material handling equipment.
• Recognize and immediately correct difficulties and errors or cause them to be corrected if fault is due to machines, equipment or material.
• Perform above duties without assistance except on unusual or difficult jobs only. Consistently produce work of proper quality and required quantity.

• Be able to use basic measuring equipment scales and calipers.
• Basic math skills required.
• Required to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Self-driven and able to self-manage.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs unassisted.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
