Russell Tobin is seeking a Mechanical Test Technician for an American multinational conglomerate operating in the fields of industry, worker safety, healthcare, and consumer goods.

Job Title:
Mechanical Test Technician (Lab Tech II)

Location: Monroe, NC (on-site)

Job Type: Contract

Length: 12-Months

Hours: 1st Shift, 40 hours/wk

Pay Rate: $24.00 - $27.50 per hour

Responsibilities:

• Works with moderate work direction and can identify issues/problems but may need assistance in resolving.
• Worker performs physical, and/or mechanical tests and observations for research, development, or quality control of fire fighter protective products.
• Assists with compiling, analyzing, interpreting, and documenting results.
• Ability to follow procedures and methods and to work well on a self-directed team is required.
• Good mechanical aptitude and skills as well as experience and specific training in inspection procedures and/or the product line are required.
• The ability to pick up these SCBA's which weigh about 40-45 pounds is part of the position.

Education:

• Associate degree with 1+ years' experience OR 3 years of Laboratory experience with a High School Diploma.

Skills:

• Good written communication skills, strong mechanical aptitude, and attention to detail.
• Experience with programming/set-up of environmental test chambers including HALT testing.
• Other experience in vibration testing, salt-fog testing, and repetitive cycling testing is preferred.
• Product testing
• Microsoft Excel
