Overview
The Business Analytics Manager is responsible for leading analytics, commercial forecasting, and sales systems insights to enable data-driven decision-making across the organization. This role owns bookings forecasting and plays a critical role in driving forecast accuracy, pipeline transparency, and alignment between sales, finance, and operations. In addition, the Business Analytics Manager serves as the business owner for the CRM system, ensuring data integrity, effective adoption, and actionable reporting that supports sales performance, pipeline visibility, and commercial execution.
Partnering closely with leadership and cross-functional teams, this role translates complex data into clear insights that support strategic planning, operational execution, and business performance.
- Lead the design, development, and maintenance of dashboards, reports, and analytical models to support business performance tracking and decision-making
- Analyze trends, variances, and drivers across key metrics such as revenue, margins, cost, demand, and operational efficiency
- Translate complex datasets into clear insights and recommendations for executive and cross-functional audiences
- Develop and maintain dashboards, KPIs and reports for sales managers, product managers, and top management.
- Own and continuously improve bookings forecasting, including pipeline analysis, win-rate assumptions, and forecast accuracy
- Partner with Sales, Finance, and Operations to align bookings forecasts with revenue and financial plans
- Serve as the business owner for the CRM, ensuring data integrity, process consistency, and effective adoption
- Manage CRM reporting, analytics, and dashboards to support sales performance, and pipeline visibility.
- Lead enhancements to CRM workflows, rules, and analytics to improve forecast accuracy, and sales productivity
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and governance across reporting and analytics tools
- Collaborate with IT and data teams on data architecture, system integrations, and analytics platforms
- Evaluate and implement new analytics tools, methodologies, and automation to improve efficiency and insight quality
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of analysts, setting priorities and ensuring high-quality deliverables
- Act as a trusted analytics partner to functional leaders, helping define requirements and prioritize analytical efforts
- Promote a data-driven culture by improving analytics literacy and adoption across the organization
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, cost reduction, and performance optimization through data analysis
- Strong proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Excel, SQL)
- Ability to manage a large amount of transactional and operational data and identify trends using statistical and analytical tools and techniques
- Strong understanding of bookings forecasting concepts.
- Ability to analyze and interpret sales pipeline data.
- Experience working with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, Dynamics 365)
- Ability to ensure CRM data accuracy, consistency, and usability to support forecasting, analytics, and management reporting.
- Ability to communicate complex data clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Manage multiple priorities; both as an independent problem solver and as a team player
- Demonstrated ability to solve problems creatively, through innovation & process re-engineering
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the interpersonal skills required to interact effectively with all levels of management and cross-functional teams.
- 2+ years in an analytical reporting role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Graduate in Business Administration, Mathematics, Statistics, Commerce, Economics or Engineering.
- Prior experience with an ERP system and related business processes, preferable IFS and/or SAP.
- Prior experience with a Business Intelligence tool, Micro Strategy or Power BI preferred.
- Experience working with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, Dynamics 365)
