WhatWe Need
The Assistant Activities Coordinator will provide assistance to the Activities Coordinator in the development and implementation of a variety of activities associated with the Intellectual and/or Developmental Disabilities (I/DD) population.
What You'll Do- Assist with research, planning, and implementing ideas for programs and activities for the I/DD population based on individual preferences.
- Involve I/DD individuals with one-on-one or group instruction of activities at their level of comprehension.
- Interact with each individual with respect and dignity.
- Assist with agency and program functions.
- Transport individuals participating in off-site programs and events as needed on a daily basis, utilizing a minivan and a 12-passenger van.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Experience working with a special needs population is preferred.
- Experience with all aspects of creative content, arts and crafts, and directing activities for special needs populations is preferred.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Good driving record.
Full-Time
ScheduleMonday - Friday 8:00am-4:00pm
Rate$16.00 per hour
LocationMonroe, NC 28110 and surrounding areas
