Position Summary - Lead the electrical engineering function across multiple locations, ensuring the consistent and effective implementation of electrical systems, strategies, and standards. This role involves strategic leadership, cross‑functional collaboration, project management, and the integration of cutting‑edge technologies to support the company’s growth and operational excellence.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Leadership and Management- Lead, mentor, and manage electrical and service engineers while remaining actively engaged in technical execution.
- Allocate engineering and service resources across projects and customer support activities.
- Establish and enforce engineering and service standards, processes, and best practices.
- Utilize daily visual management tools to track engineering and service workload, priorities, schedules, and issues, ensuring alignment, accountability, and timely execution.
- Support hiring, onboarding, performance evaluations, and professional development.
- Perform electrical design, controls programming, and hardware development as required to support projects and resolve issues.
- Develop and review electrical schematics, panel layouts, PLC/HMI programs, and system architectures.
- Provide advanced technical support for complex or escalated engineering and service issues.
- Participate in factory testing, commissioning, and startup activities as needed.
- Oversee and coordinate all service engineer activities, including assignment and scheduling.
- Work directly with customers to define scope and develop service quotes.
- Ensure proper documentation following site visits, including service reports and as‑built documentation.
- Provide direct field support when required to resolve critical customer issues.
- Collaborate with Operations, Manufacturing, Service, Sales, and Project Management teams.
- Support customer‑facing technical discussions and problem resolution.
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Control Systems Engineering or related field.
- Minimum work experience: 7 years.
- Proven ability to function as a hands‑on engineering manager, capable of both leading teams and directly executing electrical design, controls programming, and troubleshooting work. Extensive knowledge of electrical systems, control systems, automation, and industrial standards. Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Qualifications:
Experience with global engineering standards and regulations, e.g., ATEX, NEC, IEC, CSA, NFPA, ISO, UL;
Professional Engineer (PE) license or other relevant international certifications.
Physical Requirements
- Office and manufacturing floor environment.
- Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
